26th and 27th Oct

Hi folks,

Here’s what we got up to this weekend….

Friday we did a nice gig in Royston at South Farm for Colin and Rebecca Stocking. Other than a few initial sound limiter issues we had a great night

Saturday started off on the wrong foot as half of the band got caught in some truly horrendous traffic and the M25 AND the M4. Fortunately, we’d left plenty of time and arrived at Hilles House to be greeted by these beautiful views (see pics) and by the ever-accommodating event management and catering team at William’s kitchen. It’s funny, we very rarely work with any other catering team when we’re out in Gloucestershire – says it all really. As always, we were really well looked after and ate like kings thanks to Sue and Michael!!

A slight change to our playlist at the request of Mark and Anne saw us play an evening of classics from the 50s 60s and 70s and even some new reggae tunes. It turned out to be a great choice of music and kept the dance floor full all night.

We also bumped into John and Fran, some old friends from London who’s wedding we played at 2 years ago…. Small world!

It’s amazing how quickly you can forget about being stuck in traffic for 2 ½ hours.
